UX and service design
I'm a UX designer with a unique background in operations and strategy.
From user research that reshapes company roadmaps to redesigns that double engagement rates, I can work with you to leverage user-centricity to drive business success.

Designer. Serial Creative. And, sometimes cartoonist.
End-to-end project
Making financing easier for solicitors
Shire PF, a finance broker, wanted to build a fast loan application platform in just 6 weeks. Despite tight deadlines and multiple technical dependencies, my lean UX approach combined with scope management enabled the delivery of a working product on time.
The new platform eliminated process pain points and doubled the client's revenue.
Exploratory UI redesign
Transform "overwhelm" into action
Whilst researching book publishing I came across reedsy.com, a marketplace for finding publishing professional.
The platform taught me a lot about all the parts the come together to publish a book. But, it also left me worried. Here was a marketplace, and I couldn't find the search bar.
In this case study, I am leveraging GDS patterns to reduce the cognitive load faced by the users of the reedsy.com marketplace.
User research
Using user research to pinpoint why conversion rates were low
Shaale, an innovative music learning platform, struggled with low conversions. I combined a UX audit and qualitative user research to uncover the blockers.
My research reshaped team Shaale's approach to the first time user experience and content design.
Usability audit
Improving information architecture for better understandability
Swedish startup Medsbag AP is developing an app to digitise critical medical action plans for children - replacing paper plans and all the associated inefficiencies.
I was brought in to conduct a UX audit to identify improvements that would turn the prototype into a marketable product.
My design philosophy
Design should be functional and practical: it needs to help the user achieve their goal in the easiest way possible. It should also be something that can be implemented quickly by a dev team.
Design must create value, for the business: Design is a business function. It must operate and be accountable like any other business function. Whatever the end goal of a business, design must support it by creating user-centred solutions.
Design must be evidence-led: good experiences are created by validating and testing assumptions. It is a scientific process.
